Sony on Wednesday unveiled a widely-expected delay in the launch of its next-generation PlayStation 3 gaming console on Wednesday, increasing the pressure on video game publishers who have been counting on brisk sales of PS3 titles to help them overcome a weak market for new games this year. In a press conference on Wednesday, Ken Kutaragi, president of Sony Computer Entertainment, said the PS3 would be available in early November this year, almost six months later than an originally-planned spring launch.
